Advanced Certificate Link here to view and print the program brochure. Diagnostic Medical Sonography is a modality that uses high frequency sound waves to produce images of organs and vascular structures within the body. Sonography is also used extensively in the evaluation of pregnancy and fetal development. Recent advancements in technology have led to increasing use of this imaging specialty as a non-invasive diagnostic tool. This 16-month program prepares radiographers to perform sonographic examinations in hospitals, clinics, and imaging centers. Graduates are eligible to apply to take the certification examinations offered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. For Program Requirements refer online to the CSC Catalog that was in effect when you began the program.
