The Limited Radiography program prepares students to perform basic x-ray examinations on patients in doctors' offices and clinic settings. Program graduates will be eligible to apply to take the Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety or Iowa Department of Public Health examinations for licensure as a Limited Medical Radiographer.

The two-semester curriculum covers radiation protection, equipment operation and maintenance, image production and evaluation, patient care, and radiographic anatomy and positioning of the chest, extremities, spine, skull and sinuses. All didactic courses and practice labs are conducted on the Carthage campus. Clinical experience is gained at health care facilities in and around the Carthage area.

The program is designed to permit career mobility through eligibility to apply for advanced placement in the CSC Associate Degree Radiologic Technology program.

For Program Requirements refer online to the CSC Catalog that was in effect when you began the program.
