A student completing this curriculum will be eligible for employment with various law enforcement, judiciary, and correctional agencies. Various positions in business and industrial security may also be available. A student with a criminal conviction will be admitted to the program, but may experience difficulty in securing employment in some criminal justice areas. Students planning to transfer to Western Illinois University with this degree should consult with a counselor or the Criminal Justice Coordinator for advisement on WIU's pre-enrollment requirements. Certificate A student completing this curriculum will be eligible for employment with various criminal justice agencies. Certain private positions, such as business, industrial, and institutional security guards, may also be available. A student with a felony conviction will be admitted to the program, but may experience difficulty in securing employment in some criminal justice agencies.
