This is the second year for the revived golf program at Carl Sandburg and expectations are raised going into the second season. Coach Betts- "Now that we have recruited another class we are seeing that scores are lower in practice this fall. Now the guys have to be able to take that from practice into competition. I see no reason why we can't do that. Our two classes are fitting in well together and the guys are enjoying playing the game. That's what it's all about."

Coach Betts-"Our bottom eight guys are within 2-3 strokes of each other and if one or two of them starts cleaning up their game a little bit they could find themselves in our top five. With that kind of competition in practice it can only make us better in meets."
