The Childrenīs School Carl Sandburg College operates an on-campus child development lab school that offers both preschool and childcare for children ages six weeks through twelve years. The program serves children of students, employees and residents of the CSC district respectively. The school is licensed by the state of Illinois and accredited by the National Academy of Early Chidhood Programs. Services include the following:
- Daytime Program:
6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (Monday-Friday)
Preschool Sessions: 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. (daily)
- Evening Program: 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. (Monday - Thursday)
- School Age Care: Evenings (year around) and Days (summer only)
- Tuition assistance available for those who qualify
- Hot lunch, supper and two or more nutritious snack served daily
- Individualized curriculum for all ages
- Classroom teachers all have a minimum of a two-year degree in Early Childhood
