Getting Started
To start exercising at CSC, you must first enroll in either Physical Fitness or Continuing Fitness I. Physical Fitness is the credited course and Continuing Fitness I is the non-credited course.  You can register online, over the phone, in Student Services or at The Fitness Center. You have the option of taking the course for college credit or as an audit. All first time members must attend an orientation. The orientation is intended to acquaint members with the policies and procedures of the facility and to discuss personal goals and health history. The personalized orientation session is also designed to educate new members on the proper use of equipment and to establish an exercise program based on individual needs. Once an orientation session is completed, members are entitled to use all of the cardiovascular equipment, strength machines, free weights and locker room facilities with showers. The Fitness Center also offers other services such as blood pressure, body fat analysis, flexibility and muscular strength and endurance testing.
