• The Tutoring Center [B72]

• Intensive Tutoring [B68]

• Disability Support [B68]

• The Assistive Technology Lab [B64]

All tutoring services are FREE to CSC students. Students who seek to gain a greater understanding of course material in general or want help with a particular assignment are encouraged to come in and make use of our services.

Additionally, students who are struggling to keep up with a course or with college in general will find great value in our services. Student’s who fall into this category should seek assistance as early as possible, since our services are most effective when the need first arises.

The Tutoring Center:
Formerly known as the Math and Writing Lab, our Tutoring Center has grown from its humble, focused roots to offer tutoring in a wide range of subjects. Make sure to check our tutoring schedule to get a more complete listing of the subjects we cover and the times we have available as both are subject to change from semester to semester.

Intensive Tutoring:
Intensive Tutoring is a tutoring option available to any students wishing for assistance beyond that offered at the Tutoring Center or who are unable to utilize the Tutoring Center. It is a more structured tutoring option; a student or a group of students will meet up to twice a week with an assigned tutor to work on the specified subject. Appointments are approved based on student need, availability of funds, and availability of qualified tutors. For more information talk to your instructor or contact the Coordinator of Academic Support (Contact Information at the bottom of the page).

Online Tutoring:
Carl Sandburg is proud to offer online tutoring through tutor.com. Online tutoring in math, English, science, history, and even resume/cover letter writing is available 24/7. Create an account with your CSC email address, and log in to get real-time assistance from a qualified tutor.

Assistive Technology Lab:
Located in B64, the Assistive Technology Lab is an on-campus computing option available to student with disabilities. The lab computers have various accessibility software programs installed for those who require screen magnification, speech recognition, and screen readers. Students with disabilities who feel the Assistive Technology Lab does not adequately accommodate them should contact the Coordinator or Academic Support immediately.
