Dual Credit High School students prepared for college

Megan Schmidt-Graduate of Knoxville High SchoolMegan_Schmidt2
"I was able to get a full year done of college while I was still in high school, and now I'm starting college as a sophomore which has a lot of advantages. A lot of my friends are nervous about college, but I know what to expect as far as responsibilities go.

I've always met only friendly people at Sandburg.  I always find it interesting that professors here always hand out their home phone numbers in case you have any questions.  The professors show they care and they go the extra mile to let you know you can contact them any time."

"I took the dual credit program so I could already have some college credit and so I could go right into college without being nervous or stressed out.  I want to do a five-year program, so taking classes early is helping with that too.  I now know what to expect as far as differences from high school to college. I would definitely recommend this program to other students if you want a head start."

"I like to get ahead and I wanted to get some classes out of the way [before attending college]. This is a good step up [to college]. Get a few classes out of the way and you don't have to take 18 hours the first semester at college. It's a really good program."
