FACTS Tuition Management's Interest Free Monthly Payment Plan
How do I sign up? To sign up for Deferred Payment, have your bank account and routing numbers or your credit card number handy. Follow the instructions in the brochure available from any campus Student Services office.
Can I enroll anytime? Yes, but beginning with the tuition deadline date, you will need to make a down payment in addition to paying your fee.
Where do I send payments? All payments will be deducted from the checking or statement savings account or charged to the credit card you provide on the application.
Will I receive a bill? No. Your payment will be made automatically on the 5th of the month.
What if I add or drop a class? Please contact the Business Office (309) 341-5210 or stop by and they will adjust your next payment(s) accordingly and send you an "updated payment agreement notice of change" in the mail. In order for payment to reflect the next payment, please call or stop by 2 days before the 5th of the month. Reasons to call or stop by the office for the adjustment:
- When your financial aid/scholarship has been applied to your account.
- When you add/drop courses.
- When you want to pay more than the agreed monthly payment.
- When you want to pay off the remaining balance, before the last agreed monthly payment.
How long can I defer my tuition? Fall and Spring semesters can be as many as five months, but you must register by the dates in the brochure. Summer semester offers a 2-pay option. Check the dates in the brochure.
Are there any other fees? If funds are not available to make your payment on the due date, FACTS Tuition Management will charge you a late fee. Check the brochure or the FACTS website for details. FACTS Tuition Management charges a 2.5% convenience fee of the total tuition when using a debit or credit card.
The FACTS Tuition Management Payment Plan
Monthly Tuition Payments To help you meet your educational expenses, Carl Sandburg College is pleased to offer FACTS as a convenient budget plan. FACTS is a tuition management plan that provides you with a low cost option for budgeting tuition and other educational expenses. It is not a loan program; therefore, you have no debt, there are no interest or finance charges assessed and there is no credit check. The only cost to budget monthly payments through FACTS is a $30.00 per semester nonrefundable enrollment fee. The enrollment fee is automatically deducted within 14 days from the day the agreement is processed at FACTS.

How Facts Works Using FACTS is simple. Information for enrolling online is provided below under "Completing the FACTS Agreement. You may budget your tuition and fees one of two ways:
A. Automatic Bank Payment (ACH) –ACH payments are those payments you have authorized FACTS to process directly with your financial institution. It is simply a bank-to-bank transfer of funds that you have preapproved for your expenses at Carl Sandburg College. Payments may be made from either your checking or savings account. Payments are processed on the 5th of each month and will continue until the balance due the college is paid in full.
B. Credit Card Option – Many students and families have requested the option of charging their monthly tuition payment to MasterCard, American Express or Discover. This enables you to take advantage of various bonus programs offered by your credit card company. If you elect to use this option, your monthly payment along with a convenience fee will be automatically charged to your credit card on the 5th of each month. The 2.5% convenience fee is in addition to the non-refundable enrollment fee. If you wish to use this option you may enroll online or by calling FACTS.
Note: Should an automatic bank payment or credit card payment be missed a $25 missed payment fee will be automatically assessed to your account. You will be notified by FACTS of the missed payment by mail
Completing the Facts Agreement
When you enroll online, be sure you have the following information:
1.Your username, which is: your first initial, middle initial, last name, month and day of your birthday (Ex. Jmdoe1220) and your pin number which is: your MySandburg pin or the last four digits of your social security number.
2.The name and address of the person responsible for making the payments 3.Account Information for the responsible person.
- If paying by automatic bank payments you will need the bank name, telephone number, account number, and the bank routing number. Most of this information is located on your check.
- If paying by credit card, you will need the credit card number and expiration date
