Galesburg Area Vocational Center tuition waiver

The Galesburg Area Vocational Center (GAVC) tuition waiver pays tuition and fees after dual-credit Pell for eligible students.

 

Eligibility

• Students from Galesburg or local high school students approved to participate in the GAVC programs who enrolled in dual-credit courses.
• Senior students must complete the FAFSA^® and complete the steps to be awarded federal Pell grant.
• Limited to dual-credit courses (sections ending in DC) and approved by GAVC. 

 

HOW TO APPLY

1. Contact the Galesburg Area Vocational Center for enrollment opportunities.
2. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA^®) form if required. Galesburg seniors and students enrolling in GAVC from surrounding districts are required to file a FAFSA to determine eligibility.  

 

DETERMINING PAYMENT AND REFUNDS

• An estimated payment will show on the student's bill following registration. The Galesburg Area Vocational Center tuition waiver is applied to the student's account approximately two weeks prior to the tuition deadline. 

 

SUMMER

Galesburg Area Vocational Center tuition waiver is not available for Summer term.
