Who Pays?

To participate in cultural activities, students must -
Be enrolled in the current semester. If it is the summer term, the student has to be on the active student roster (they have attended the spring term and have plans to return in the fall).
Be in good academic standing (cumulative GPA at 2.0 or higher).

Transportation will be provided for out of town events and participants are encouraged to ride with the group. If a student chooses to drive their own vehicle to a TRIO SSS event, the program does not reimburse the student for any expenses incurred (mileage, parking, etc.). The student is held responsible for any speeding or parking tickets and for any car accidents. The student is asked to sign a Liability Waiver form for each event if they choose to drive their own vehicle.

Expenses for cultural events will generally be paid for by the program. Students will be informed when they sign up for an event what expenses TRIO SSS will cover. Students will normally be encouraged to bring extra money for snacks, desserts, souvenirs, etc. When a meal is involved in the activity, the TRIO SSS program will pay for the studentīs entree and drink. The student will be asked to pay for any extra appetizers, desserts, coffees, etc. they may wish to purchase. The expenses for each event that TRIO SSS will pay for is determined by the Program Director.
