The Carl Sandburg College Main Campus is located in Galesburg, Illinois, with a faculty of 57 full-time and 180 part-time instructors serving 3,000 students at three permanent locations. The Branch Campus is located in Carthage, Illinois, and The Extension Center is located in Bushnell, Illinois.

Coordinator/Faculty of IGEN Biofuels Manufacturing Technology
 
Carl Sandburg College is accepting applications for a full-time Coordinator of IGEN Biofuels Manufacturing Technology position in the Career Technical Health Education Department. This is a faculty/program coordinating position 100% grant-funded by the Department of Labor through the Illinois Green Energy Network.
 
Major responsibilities include providing educational experience, positive motivation, and guidance to students in a manner consistent with the mission of Carl Sandburg College; coordinate, under the direction of the Dean of Career Technical Health Education, the activities related to the instructional program. Position is responsible for providing all deliverables to the Department of Labor, agreeing to permit free public use and distribution of all online and technology-enabled courses. Bachelor’s degree in industrial technology or a field related to biofuels industry is required. 2000 hours of employment in the biofuels or related field is required. Earned Master’s Degree in appropriate subject matter is preferred. The ability to communicate successfully with clients of all ages, socio-economic status, sex, or race and a valid driver’s license is required.
 
Starting salary range is $35,670-$44,450 and is commensurate with education and experience

Full-Time Business Instructor

Carl Sandburg College is seeking a tenure track full-time faculty member in Business and related disciplines starting Fall 2012. Master’s degree in Economics, Business or Accounting required. Candidates who have teaching experience in at least two of the subject areas listed are preferred. Salary is commensurate with education and experience with a range of $38,470-$50,180.

Applicant must demonstrate a significant knowledge of the sport of soccer. Previous coaching experience is required. Administrative Computing Information Specialist
Technical Level III-starting salary range $21,070 - $22,760

Carl Sandburg College is accepting applications for a full time Administrative Computing Information Specialist. Salary is commensurate with experience and education; $21,070 to $22,760/Year. This position serving as the frontline support for the Student, Financial Aid, HR and Business Office Administrative Software functions. The person will also be responsible for serving as backup to Administrative Computing staff and developing business intelligence and dashboards to meet institutional needs. The position requires strong customer service and technical skills with knowledge of Windows and Macintosh Operating Systems and MS office preferred. Associate Degree required or related specialized training. Three years work experience required. IGEN - Coordinator of Adult Transition
Mid-Management Level IV-starting salary range $29,610-$32,610
 
Carl Sandburg College is accepting applications for a full-time Coordinator of Adult Transition position in the Student Services Department. This position is 100% grant-funded by the Department of Labor through the Illinois Green Energy Network.
 
Major responsibilities include addressing gaps in transitioning and intake to education for TAA workers and underserved students by partnering with Local Workforce Investment Agencies to improve career outreach, information, and orientation via multiple supportive services such as bridge program courses, refresher tutorials, prior learning assessments, career assessments, and green career placement. Integrate these services to meet the needs of TAA students who wish to enroll in online-hybrid green career training and education programs developed as part of the College of Lake County's U.S. Department of Labor Trade Adjustment Act Community College and Career Training Grant (TAACCCT). Bachelor’s degree with four years related experience is required. Knowledge of curriculum and instruction and experience in using technology to improve learning is required. The ability to communicate successfully with clients of all ages, socio-economic status, sex, or race and a valid driver’s license is required.
