WHAT IS PSYCHOLOGY?
Most people believe all psychologists are either counselors or therapists, when in fact there are many psychology majors who have not been trained at all in this area. In fact, many psych majors would be no better at helping you solve your esteem issues than J. Doe walking down the street. Psychology is a very diverse field and touches such a variety of careers that for most areas of interest, there is a corresponding field of psychology.
