CastleStudy Abroad Requirements
In order to be eligible to study abroad (everywhere except Cuba, which has no requirements), students must meet the following requirements:

    2.75 or higher GPA
“B” or better in English 101
12-15 hours of college earned credit

Typically, 2 courses are offered for summer programs and 4-5 courses are offered for semester programs. Most programs include a culture course and/or a language course in addition to elective courses. For all programs requiring language study, no prior experience is required. However, students with previous language experience will be tested and placed in the appropriate courses. During their study abroad, students are registered as Carl Sandburg students and receive course credit directly through the College.

Program costs vary by country. Most program costs include tuition abroad, housing (with host families when available), some meals, field trips and health insurance. Typically, students are required to pay for their airfare, passport and/or visa, some meals and personal expenses. For information on current program costs, please visit the ICISP website or contact Shanon Dickerson.
