STEPS TO REGISTER AND OBTAIN COURSE MATERIALS.

Option 1 Transfer Credit Course (3 Semester Hours)
  1. Fill out the Application Form for Carl Sandburg College if you have not attended Carl Sandburg College before. Wait to be admitted (usually 2 business days) – Admissions Office will e-mail you a confirmation once you have been accepted.
  2. Go to the Carl Sandburg College Web site www.sandburg.edu
  3. Click on "WebAdvisor" link (in the upper right hand corner of the CSC Web site in the blue banner).
  4. Login to WebAdvisor using instructions below:
  5. Enter Username and Password. Example: James Michael Doe born May 20, 1985
  6. Username: jmdoe0520
  7. Initial Password: Last six digits of social security number (You will be prompted to change this password at the first time you login)
  8. Register for the course
  9. Pay for the course
    • In-State (Illinois) 2009 Tuition (payment to Carl Sandburg College)
    • 3 semester credit class = SU $381.00 FA$393.00
    • 2 semester credit class = SU $254.00 FA $262.00
    • Out-of-State Tuition 2009 (payment to Carl Sandburg College)
    • 3 semester credit class = SU $636.00 FA $636.00
    • 2 semester credit class = SU $424.50 FA $657.00
  10. Order and pay for the course materials (payment to American Sport Education Program). Visit the ASEP Web site at http://www.asep.com/asep_content/org/CSCIL.cfm. Click on the "Purchase these courses" text link and proceed through the checkout. Upon confirmation of your order, you will be sent the appropriate course texts and CD-ROMs containing video clips for viewing during the courses. Course-access instructions will also be included. Please allow 3-5 business days for delivery. (Check your state association requirements for possible additional materials
    such as the State High School Exam).
  11. After you receive your course materials from ASEP, you are ready to get started in the course. Go back to the College Web site www.sandburg.edu. Click on "mySandburg"
    a. Login to mySandburg using the same Username and Password as you did WebAdvisor.
    b. Access your course PED 260 151 Coaching Principles and Sport First Aid through the
    ‘My Courses' tab

Option 2: Vocational Skill Credits

  1. Go to the Carl Sandburg College Web site
  2. www.sandburg.edu Click on "WebAdvisor" link (in the upper right hand corner of the CSC Web site in the blue banner)
  3. Click on the Community Education link
  4. Click on Register and Pay for Continuing Education Classes link
  5. Type in the course code for example, Coaching Principles type "PED E01" Click on Submit
  6. Complete the registration form, click on Submit
  7. Pay for the course, click on Submit

8. To obtain your course materials, you must also register through the American Sport Education Program (ASEP). Visit their website at http://www.asep.com/asep_content/org/CSCIL.cfm. Select Partner College – Carl Sandburg College. Select your appropriate course materials from ASEP and pay for the materials on their website. Individual course prices are posted on the American Sport Education Program website. (Check your state association requirements for possible additional materials such as the State High School Exam).
