KANKAKEE—Freshmen Lawson Crider and Brandyn Murray teamed up on both goals for the Carl Sandburg College men’s soccer team in Saturday’s 2-1 Region IV Champions Division victory at Kankakee.
 

Murray found Crider in the 11th minute to get the Chargers (10-3, 5-1) on the board. Crider then returned the favor in the 27th minute, feeding Murray for what proved to be the game-winning goal.

PALOS HILLS—Lawson Crider scored the game-winning goal on a penalty kick in the 85th minute as the Carl Sandburg College men’s soccer team defeated Moraine Valley 2-1 on Saturday in at Region IV Champions Division match.

ROCK ISLAND—Carl Sandburg College sophomore women’s cross country runner Haley Bolliger broke the school record for a 6-kilometer race during Friday’s Brissman-Lundeen Invitational a Saukie Golf Course.

 

Bolliger, who also holds the women’s 5K school record, finished the race in 24 minutes, 12.2 seconds to break the previous record of 24:52 set by Jessica Hanson in 2007. Bolliger placed 54th out of 425 runners overall.
