CRYSTAL LAKE—Kevin Aka scored twice as the Carl Sandburg College men’s soccer team picked up its second straight victory with a 2-0 win at McHenry County on Saturday in the Chargers’ conference opener.

MONMOUTH—Freshman Ellen Corbin shot a season-best 97 as the Carl Sandburg College women’s golf team competed in the Fighting Scots Invitational on Saturday at Gibson Woods Golf Course.

AURORA—Freshman Haley Bolliger’s 41st-place showing in the women’s race led the Carl Sandburg College cross country teams at the Aurora Spartan Classic on Friday at Oakhurst Forest Preserve in Aurora.

PORT BYRON—The Carl Sandburg College men’s golf team posted the top two individual scores at the Duane Chanay Invitational on Friday at Byron Hills Golf Course in Port Byron.

DIXON—Nick Gustafson shot a 6-under-par 69 to take medalist honors at the Arrowhead Conference Preview on Friday at Dixon Country Club.
