PALOS HILLS—Waubonsee rallied in the final minutes to beat the Carl Sandburg College women’s basketball team 67-62 on Sunday in the semifinals of the Region IV tournament and end the Chargers’ season.

OGLESBY—The Carl Sandburg College men’s basketball team upset top-seeded Kishwaukee 76-70 on Sunday to advance to the championship of the Region IV tournament.

 

The fifth-seeded Chargers (17-14) will play No. 3 seed Olive-Harvey at 5 p.m. Saturday at Elgin for a trip to the NJCAA Division II national tournament. Olive-Harvey defeated Sandburg 80-75 on Dec. 18 in Chicago in the teams’ lone meeting this season.
