In recognition of the 40th Anniversary of Carl Sandburg College, the CSC Foundation established in April 2006 a new fundraising event, the Founders Dinner and a new recognition award, the Founders Circle. 

Proceeds from the Founders Dinner will be distributed to CSC students receiving the Founders Scholarship.   This annual scholarship will be awarded to one male and one female student with a minimum 2.0 GPA.  Students must have 15 cumulative credit hours to be eligible to apply.  The scholarship will be awarded to in-district students only.  Students must demonstrate community service and leadership abilities.

The Founders Circle Award will serve to recognize outstanding service to CSC by alumni and friends.
