Brian Chase
Director of Normal Public Library
Brian, ’93, is currently the Director of Normal Public Library. His
responsibilities include a staff of 90 full-time and part-time
employees, a 45,000 square foot facility, 100 computers, and a $3.2
million budget.

Marla Clay
Physical Education Instructor of GHS
Marla earned her degree from Carl Sandburg in 1985. She is a
Physical
education Instructor for Galesburg High School. In addition
to teaching classes, she
coaches the varsity volleyball team. She oversees the
districts volleyball program and conducts volleyball camps during the
summer. |

As a successful alumna of CSC, Pacheco offers students
this advice: "Never give up on your hopes and dreams. Be disciplined,
persistent and stick to your goals and respect everyone around you. My
father once said 'be respectful to everyone, because the same people you
will see as you rise will be the same people you will see going down.'"
Pacheco has been in the government service industry for over 30 years
and is currently the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Manager for the
HQ, Army Sustainment Command in Rock Island, Illinois.

Jon Sibley, ‘78
Sibley earned an Associate in Applied Science degree in
1978 and in 2007 came back to the school as an elected member of the
Board of Trustees. He is currently the Pastor of the Full Gospel Church
in Galesburg. If Jon could offer a current CSC student any advice, it
would be “Never to give up, believe in yourself, look for opportunities
and take full advantage of them, and don’t be too proud to ask for
help.” |
