Since 1971, over 9,000 students have received financial assistance from the
Carl Sandburg College Foundation to attend Carl Sandburg College. The Foundation provides numerous academic, general and financial need scholarships to CSC students. All scholarship awards are based on individual scholarship guidelines. Scholarship recipients must have a minimum 2.0 GPA in order to apply for a scholarship, but higher GPA standards are required for some scholarships. The majority of scholarships require that the recipient also be a full-time student.
Unless otherwise specified by the donor, scholarship awards are divided equally between the fall and spring semesters. Recipients must maintain satisfactory GPA requirements each semester. Scholarships are awarded for one year and current scholarship recipients must reapply for subsequent awards. Scholarship funds are applied directly to a student's account at CSC. Funds are applied to direct college expenses (tuition, fees & books); after these items are covered, the scholarship award may be used for supplies or other educational expenses.

Starting December 1st, 2010, the CSC Foundation Scholarship Application Process became paperless and completely online.
