CSC has had a golf program on and off since 1969. In 2005, CSC revived the program and has since been successful. In the 2009-10 season, the team - Andrew Ledford, Luke Kane, Jordan Lieber, Chris Neal and Kyle McEwen - qualified for the NJCAA Division II National Golf Tournament and ended the season in 17th place. In the 2008-09 season, Carl Sandburg golfers Joe Hoskins and Andrew Ledford competed in the NJCAA Division II National Golf Tournament held in Goose Pond, Ala. In the 2007-08 season, Joe Hoskins and Brett Wedemeier qualifed for the NJCAA Division II National Golf Tournament held in Goodyear, Ariz. The 2006-07 men's golf team was named NJCAA Division II Academic Golf Team of the Year. Home meets are held at Lake Bracken Country Club located just south of Galesburg.
