Todd Winkler
Head Coach
Todd Winkler is entering his eigth year coaching the Carl Sandburg Softball team. He has 38 years experience of coaching and playing fast pitch softball. Winkler grew up outside of Alexis and went to Alexis High School and Western Illinois University. He is also CSC's head volleyball coach. Coach Winkler lives with his daughters, Kayla and Kelsey, on the family farm just outside of Alexis.



Gillian Schultz
Assistant Coach
Gillian Schultz is entering her second year as an assistant softball coach. Schultz played basketball at Black Hawk College, as well as softball. While at Black Hawk, Schultz was selected to the Region IV All-Tournament First Team (2007) and was a member of the Braves’ fourth place national tournament softball team. From Black Hawk, Schultz transferred to Carl Sandburg where she played softball and soccer. Coach Schultz grew up outside Amboy, Ill. and went to Amboy High School.
