The Center for Manufacturing Excellence (CME) is located on the Carl Sandburg College main campus in Galesburg, Illinois. The 30,000 square foot facility was constructed in 1998-99 as a result of a partnership with area industry, the College, The Galesburg Business & Technology Center, Galesburg Area Chamber of Commerce and the State of Illinois.
The CME Steering Committee secured more than $1.9 million in investment capital from approximately sixty (60) local businesses, major regional employers, individual and the State of Illinois.
