The Educational Technology Center, designed to offer residents of Galesburg and west central Illinois state-of-the-art facilities and services for computer training, teaching and teleconferencing, is the result of an unprecedented collaboration and outstanding support from local businesses.

Representatives from Carl Sandburg College, Galesburg School District #205, and Knox College began meeting in the spring of 1995 to devise methods of working together for the benefit of the community. It was determined that the development of an Educational Technology Center would provide a variety of educational opportunities for students and staff of each institution, as well as for the general public.

Directions to Educational Technology Center from Interstate 74:

1.       Exit Route 34 West toward Monmouth

2.       Exit Henderson Street Exit (Route 150 East)

3.       The mall is on the right hand side. Enter the mall parking lot on the access road

          between the Honda car dealership and Applebee’s restaurant.

4.       At the stop sign, veer left toward Bergner’s Department Store.

5.       Look for the green circular sign.  The entrance is directly below the sign.  The

          Educational Technology Center has an exterior parking lot entrance only. The ETC is

          space #1142 at Sandburg Mall.
