Carl Sandburg College is a public institution, and the basic resources of the Library are available to all residents of the College district. Public library cards will be honored, or a College library card may be issued upon proof of in-district residency. All College library cards expire July 31 of each year.

Loan PeriodsReference materials do not check out.
4 Weeks - Books, including paperbacks.
1 Week - Videos, CDs, recordings, catalogs, pamphlets, articles, and periodicals (except current issue).
Reserve items are circulated as requested by instructors.
Interlibrary loan items are determined by the lending institution.
Items may be renewed a maximum of 3 times unless requested by another patron or on reserve. Videos and interlibrary loan materials may not be renewed.
Fines and FeesThere are no fines for late returns, however you will be placed on hold and will not be able to register for classes or receive grades or transcripts until the item(s) are returned.
Lost books will result in a charge to the student for the cost of replacement. Videos, CD´s, cassette tapes, and record albums are the replacement cost plus a $5.00 handling fee.
Photocopies are 10 cents per exposure.
Microfilm prints are no charge
