Obtaining Materials from Other Libraries
Intercampus deliveries, I-Share Universal Borrowing, and InterLibrary Loans (ILLs)
Our collections are searchable in our online CSC Catalog, which is part of I-Share -- the statewide consortium of college and university libraries (including the University of Illinois with its millions of books) -- which is in turn part of Worldcat, the all-inclusive world online catalog.
1. If our catalog shows that the location of a CSC Library book you want is in a location other than yours -- Bushnell, Carthage, Stacks (Galesburg), Career Area (Galesburg) -- check with a librarian about getting it. If possible, print off the catalog entry, put your name and phone number at the bottom, and give that to the librarian.
2. You can directly request books and other items, which Carl Sandburg doesn't have, from other I-Share libraries via Universal Borrowing. (For this, you need a College ID card, with a Library D-number barcode on the back.)
3. You can have a librarian get for you books and magazine/journal articles, which are not available in the CSC Library or in I-Share. Contact Amy Armstrong 341-5206.
