Step back in time and travel to the Amana Colonies in Iowa. Our first stop will be the Heritage Museum to view a 20-minute video detailing Amana’s story from 18th century Germany to the present. Guided-tours of the Communal Kitchen Museum, High Amana General Store, and Homestead Village Church. Dine at Ronneburg Restaurant. Browse the various one-of-a-kind shops with Amana-made items. If time permits, we will make a visit to Iowa’s only remaining woolen mill. Lunch & shopping expenses at your own cost. Planned arrival time is 9:15 a.m., we will depart at 3:30 p.m. Space is limited, minimum of 10 required. Registration required by Monday, August 21. No cancellations past 08/21/17; however, a substitute can attend. Shuttle bus departs from Carl Sandburg College’s Center for Manufacturing Excellence, 2051 Tom L. Wilson Blvd., Galesburg.
