400 High Schoolers to Attend Sandburg Career Fair March 15

GALESBURG—Nearly 400 area high school sophomores and juniors will participate in the 2013 Carl Sandburg College Career Fair from 10 a.m. to noon March 15 on the Main Campus in Galesburg, 2400 Tom L. Wilson Blvd.
 

Students from Galesburg, Knoxville, Monmouth-Roseville and United high schools are expected to attend. Students will choose to attend three 30-minute sessions on career types. Categories include:

Computer Information Technology
Crime Scene Technology
Diesel Tractor Technology
Emergency Medical Technician/Paramedic
Emerging Technology and Educational Opportunities

Marketing, Public Relations and Advertising
Medical Assisting
Nursing Careers
Pharmacist Careers
Photography
Physical Therapist
Providing Care for Clients/Patients
Public Safety/Police Officer
Recreation Administration and Hospitality Careers

Your Career: Choosing a College/Paying for It

 

Organizations represented at the fair include: Azer Clinic, Carl Sandburg College, City of Galesburg, Galesburg Hospitals’ Ambulance Service, Galesburg Police Department, Hy-Vee, Illinois State Police, Spoon River College and The Register-Mail.
