GALESBURG—Kishwaukee completed a season sweep of the Carl Sandburg College women’s basketball team Tuesday, beating the Chargers 82-40 in an Arrowhead Conference contest at John M. Lewis Gymnasium.
The loss dropped Sandburg (11-12, 4-5) to a game under .500 both overall and in conference play. Jordyn Chasteen scored 10 points to lead the Chargers. Kishwaukee’s Ashanti Davis led all players with 32 points.
“Rough night from the very start,” Sandburg coach Mike Bailey said. “We have to figure out a way to bounce back Thursday. Davis is a very good player, and she dominated from start to finish.”
The Chargers will close their home schedule by hosting Highland at 5:30 p.m. Thursday on Sophomore Night. The team will honor its nine sophomores — Courtney Admire, Paige Martin, Destini Bollinger, Kaylee Moseley, Tesha Woolley, Jordyn Chasteen, Terra Eberle, Marysa Remick and Lexa Mahr — immediately following the contest.
