Teaching Philosophy/Personal Statement:
Students learn best in a supportive, caring environment. Health care is a dynamic industry with the nursing profession at its core. It is my goal to provide the optimum learning environment in which to provide patients with competent, caring professional nurses.

Associates Degree in Applied Secretarial Science – Carl Sandburg College
BSN – St. Francis College of Nursing
MSN – St. Francis College of Nursing

 

Previous Teaching Experience:
Employee clinical education at Cottage Hospital Wound Center, Heartland Health Care Center, St. Francis Medical Center

Sigma Theta Tau International: Tau Omicron Chapter; summa cum laude graduate of BSN program; graduate with distinction of MSN program

 

Additional Info:
I am married with five children and four grandchildren. My husband and I own a local small business. I enjoy gardening, fishing, music, and reading. I have worked in nursing administration for several years and am now fulfilling the dream of teaching nursing.
