Effective July 1, 2014, the training hour requirement for food service operators and their supervisory personnel was reduced from 16 hours “Full Course” to 8 hours and includes the Illinois State Food Service Sanitation Manager Certification (FSSMC) Exam.
Similarly, the recertification “Refresher Couse” for the FSSMC was increased from 5 hours to 8 hours and also includes Illinois State FSSMC Exam.
Whether taking the FSSMC for the first time or recertifying, this course prepares you for the Illinois State Food Service Sanitation Manager Certification (FSSMC) Exam. A minimum passing grade of 75% is required.
Sandburg uses ServSafe curriculum and online FSSMC Exams which will be administered immediately after the 8 hour course.
All Galesburg classes are held in Building G and taught by Kyle Lloyd and/or Alberta LaFollette.
