April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and to further education and

awareness of this cause, Sandburg will host the "Clothesline Project" at

the Main Campus Thursday, April 9 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on the Loft Patio

(Rain Location: Student Center). The Clothesline Project is an avenue

for women affected by violence to express their emotions by decorating

a shirt anonymously. The shirt is then hung on a clothesline to honor

the survivors, act as a memorial for victims, and be viewed by others

as testimony to the problem of violence against women. The Clothesline

Project is sponsored by the Western Illinois Regional

Council-Community Action Agency (WIRC-CAA) Victim Services Program of

Macomb IL. For more information, contact Genny Stevens, coordinator of

   student life. 309.341.5332 or gstevens@sandburg.edu.
