Applying for Summer Financial Aid

Summer Financial Aid

Summer financial aid is determined in March and a summer award notice sent to eligible students. Students are automatically reviewed for summer awards and notified of any eligibility.

Federal Pell Grants require that you are enrolled in at least one credit hour. Pell awards for summer are based on remaining eligibility. Students who are full time fall and spring semesters will not have remaining funds for summer. Students who are eligible are automatically considered for summer aid.

Illinois Monetary Award Program does not award summer.

To be eligible for Direct Loans and Direct Parent Plus Loans for the Summer semester, you need to be enrolled in at least six credit hours. A student can borrow up to the annual limit for each year they are in school. A loan can be processed for summer if the student has not already borrowed their annual limit.

Sandburg Scholarships are not awarded for the summer term.
