To help you meet your educational expenses, Carl Sandburg College is pleased to offer the deferred pay plan as a convenient budget plan. Nelnet is a tuition management plan that provides you with a low cost option for budgeting tuition and other educational expenses. It is not a loan program; therefore, you have no debt, there are no interest or finance charges assessed and there is no credit check. The only cost to budget monthly payments through Nelnet is a $35.00 per semester nonrefundable enrollment fee. The enrollment fee is automatically deducted immediately the day the agreement is processed at Nelnet. If the enrollment fee fails, the agreement will terminate, just as it does if a down payment option is selected and fails.
After enrolling in the Nelnet tuition pay plan, visit www.mypaymentplan.com to check...
Using the deferred payment plan is simple. Information for enrolling online is provided below under "Completing the deferred pay plan Agreement. You may budget your tuition and fees one of two ways:
ACH payments are those payments you have authorized the deferred pay plan to process directly with your financial institution. It is simply a bank-to-bank transfer of funds that you have pre-approved for your expenses at Carl Sandburg College. Payments may be made from either your checking or savings account. Payments are processed on the 5th of each month and will continue until the balance to the college is paid in full.
Many students and families have requested the option of charging their monthly tuition payment to MasterCard, VISA, American Express or Discover. This enables you to take advantage of various bonus programs offered by your credit card company.
Note: Should an automatic bank payment or credit card payment be missed a $30 missed payment fee will be automatically assessed to your account. You will be notified by Nelnet of the missed payment by mail, Nelnet will attempt a return payment fee one time.
When you enroll online, be sure you have the following information:
Go to “MySandburg”, then “Log In”, and (on the right side of the screen) under “WebAdvisor” select “My Account”, select “Sign up for the payment plan”; then select “Term”. You will need to enter your Colleague ID#, birth date (with slashes-mm/dd/yy) and the term you are paying for. Then select "Calculate Tuition". You will now see your Colleague ID, Name, Term, and Amount owed (if there is no tuition balance due, then you are not enrolled in any courses); otherwise, select the e-cashier icon. Choose the payment plan you desire. You may select the full payment option using your credit card or checking/savings, or the deferred monthly payment option using your credit card or check/savings. Once you are in e-Cashier review all information and refer to the menu bar at the top for additional answers to questions you may have. After you have reviewed all information, select the "Proceed" button. Follow the simple steps outlined. Please remember, any required down payment will be deducted immediately. After reviewing the information and you have accepted the Terms & Conditions in which your agreement has been submitted, you will receive an immediate e-mail (if e-mail address was provided). This e-mail will confirm receipt of your enrollment through Nelnet e-Cashier. You may also print this page for your records.
(Please make sure you have confirmation number before exiting!)
