The Carl Sandburg College Foundation is pleased to announce a new scholarship opportunity for nontraditional students.

The Foundation’s Discover Scholarship will be awarded to multiple students and worth up to $1,500 annually starting with the 2017 fall semester. Prorated amounts also will be available for students who are enrolled at least half-time. Sandburg developed this new scholarship to help nontraditional students who may be interested in a new career or going back to school to finish a degree they’d previously started.

Applicants must be at least 24 years old, a resident of Sandburg District 518 and have filed their Federal Application for Financial Student Aid (FAFSA). Priority will be given to those who apply by April 30, and the final deadline to apply is July 31. Recipients will be selected by the Discover Scholarship committee.

To apply, if you’ve already submitted an application to attend Sandburg, log in to mySandburg, go to “Student Apps,” click on “Scholarship Application” and select “Discover Scholarships Application.” If you have yet to apply to the College, visit www.sandburg.edu/apply, or contact the Welcome Center at 309.345.3500 or welcomecenter@sandburg.edu.
