14 Sandburg Athletes Receive NJCAA All-Academic Honors

Fourteen Carl Sandburg College student-athletes have received NJCAA Academic Student-Athlete Awards for their success in the classroom during the 2016-17 academic year.

Sandburg had five athletes earn NJCAA All-Academic First-Team honors (4.0 GPA), two receive second-team honors (3.80-3.99 GPA) and seven earn third-team honors (3.60-3.79 GPA). Seven Chargers teams had at least one recipient, with volleyball and softball each having four award winners, tops among Chargers squads. Six Chargers sophomores earned NJCAA All-Academic awards in each of their two seasons at Sandburg.
