GALESBURG — The Carl Sandburg College volleyball team put together a dominant performance in a 25-15, 25-8, 25-22 sweep at Knox on Monday night.
In defeating the NCAA Division III Prairie Fire, the Chargers (12-9) got a team-high 10 kills from sophomore Carley Reeves-Eakins (Branson, Mo./Reeds Spring), who hit .320 for the match. Reeves-Eakins also led Sandburg with four blocks.
Freshman Lauren Erke (Quincy, Ill./Quincy) had 13 digs and seven kills for the Chargers. Jasmin McDaniel (Peoria, Ill./Richwoods) and Gracie Rademacker (Green Valley, Ill./Midwest Central) each added a dozen digs.
Setter Carmyn Baldwin (Lewistown, Ill./Lewistown) had 31 of Sandburg’s 35 assists on the night. Reeves-Eakins, Erke, McDaniel, Megan Crome (Marshall, Ill./Marshall) and Jadyn Swan (Peoria, Ill./Limestone) each had an ace for Sandburg.
