GALESBURG — The Carl Sandburg College men’s soccer team moved down four spots to No. 12 in this week’s NJCAA Division II rankings after their Chargers dropped their first match of the season Saturday.
Sandburg (6-1 overall, 3-1 Region IV) fell from the ranks of the unbeaten with a 3-0 loss last weekend to Waubonsee. The Chargers received 57 points in this week’s voting, just one behind No. 11 Heartland. Sandburg has been ranked in all five polls this season and seven in a row dating back to last spring.
The Chargers’ next game is 4 p.m. Thursday at home against Bryant & Stratton.
