Sandburg announces 2024 summer session graduates

GALESBURG — Carl Sandburg College women’s golf freshman Olivia Schwingle (Sterling, Ill./Sterling) shot a career-low 88 on Sunday in the final round of the Purple and Gold Classic at Soangetaha Country Club.

Schwingle’s career-best round followed a first-round 95 on Saturday as she tied for 13th in the tournament.

Freshman Anna Duden (Gifford, Ill./Armstrong) finished just behind Schwingle as she posted rounds of 97 and 92 to place 15th.

Illinois College’s Haley Walker finished with a two-day total of 157 (78-79) to take medalist honors by five strokes.
