DIXON — Fourth-ranked Sauk Valley swept the Carl Sandburg College volleyball team 25-20, 25-19, 25-12 in an Arrowhead Conference match Thursday night.
Sophomore Carley Reeves-Eakins (Branson, Mo./Reeds Spring) led the Chargers (13-10 overall, 3-2 Arrowhead) with nine kills and two blocks while posting a team-high .278 hitting percentage.
Carmyn Baldwin (Lewistown, Ill./Lewistown) had 21 assists and tied Megan Crome (Marshall, Ill./Marshall) for the team lead with two aces. Sandburg also got 15 digs from libero Jasmin McDaniel (Peoria, Ill./Richwoods).
Of Sandburg’s 10 losses this season, six have come against nationally-ranked opponents.
