KEOKUK, Iowa — Addison Eger (Mendon, Ill./Unity) put together her second consecutive 20-point effort but the Carl Sandburg College women’s basketball team lost 65-50 at Southeastern on Tuesday night.
Eger led all players with 24 points on 5-for-10 shooting, and she was 13 of 14 from the free-throw line against the Blackhawks. The sophomore also collected four rebounds for the Chargers (0-2).
Abbey Donaldson (Bushnell, Ill./Bushnell-Prairie City) had four points, two steals and a team-best six rebounds for Sandburg.
Sandburg trailed 31-21 at halftime, but Southeastern outscored the Chargers 23-10 in the third quarter to push its lead to 54-31. The Blackhawks had three players score in double figures, led by Mya Bills’ 17 points.
