Sandburg Men’s Soccer Puts 4 on Inaugural All-Arrowhead Team

GALESBURG — Carl Sandburg College was well represented on the first-ever All-Arrowhead Conference men’s soccer team, placing a league-high four members on the squad.

The Chargers, who won all three of their Arrowhead matches, had all four of their selections — Guylberson Camille (Key West, Fla./Key West), Jean Forestal (Ocoee, Fla./Ocoee), Oliver Hawkins (Paddock Wood, England/Mascalls Academy) and Jordan Delgado Ramos (Orlando, Fla./Evans) — voted First-Team All-Arrowhead by conference coaches.

Camille, a sophomore left wing, was the league’s leading vote-getter after recording two goals and three assists while putting up 17 shots against conference opponents. Camille also was an All-Region IV pick this season.

Forestal, a freshman forward who also was an All-Region IV selection, had five goals on 13 shots in Arrowhead play. He scored in each conference match, including two-goal efforts against Illinois Valley and Kishwaukee.

Hawkins, a freshman forward/right wing, had a goal in Sandburg’s 4-0 win over Kishwaukee on Oct. 16. The same could be said for Ramos, a sophomore defender who solidified a backline that didn’t concede a goal in any of the Chargers’ three Arrowhead matches. Sandburg outscored conference teams by a total of 9-0.
