Sandburg announces 2024 summer session graduates

GALESBURG — The Carl Sandburg College men’s basketball team had seven players score in double figures as the Chargers thumped Prairie State 92-75 on Saturday afternoon at John M. Lewis Gymnasium.

It marked the second time in three games the Chargers (11-5) have scored 90-plus points.

KEY MOMENTS
• Tied at 8 in the early going, Sandburg rattled off an 11-0 run and never trailed again. Freshman Eric Price (Galesburg, Ill./Galesburg) started the stretch with a three-point play and added a 3-pointer later in the run.
• The Pioneers trailed 69-59 with 9:00 left before the Chargers added another 11-0 run to stretch their lead to 21. Sandburg’s largest lead came at 92-68.

SANDBURG STANDOUT
Freshman guard Adam Cash (Pekin, Ill./Pekin) tied for the team lead in scoring with a season-best 14 points. Cash went 2 of 4 from beyond the arc and was a perfect 8 for 8 from the free-throw line.
