Sandburg announces 2024 summer session graduates

GALESBURG — Matt Williams (Peoria, Ill./Notre Dame) finished a rebound shy of a double-double, but the Carl Sandburg College men’s basketball team lost 67-49 to Bryant & Stratton on Wednesday night at John M. Lewis Gymnasium.

KEY MOMENT
The Bobcats (6-10) came out strong from the opening tip, using an 11-2 stretch to grab a 22-8 lead and a 14-2 run later in the first half for a 38-14 advantage, their largest of the game. Bryant & Stratton led 40-21 at halftime.

SANDBURG STANDOUT
Williams tied for the team lead in scoring with 11 points on 5-of-9 shooting and pulled down a Sandburg-best nine rebounds. The effort on the glass matched a season-high for the 6-foot-6 freshman. He also had a pair of steals before fouling out in the second half.
