Sandburg welcomed back more than 20 former men’s and women’s basketball players who attended an alumni reunion during the Chargers’ games Nov. 16.
Alumni were invited to play pickup games, enjoy a brunch hosted by the Sandburg Foundation, receive a tour of the new Science & Technology Center and be introduced at halftime of the Chargers’ contests that afternoon against Madison. Afterward, a dinner took place at Pizza House, capping a day of reconnecting, reminiscing and making new memories while cheering on this season's Sandburg squads.
Those in attendance ranged from playing for the first Sandburg basketball team (Steve Abron ’69) to just last season (Kelci Shelton ’24).
