Silver Streaks’ Pendleton Signs With Sandburg Men’s Basketball

Galesburg High School senior T.J. Pendleton has signed to play next season for the Carl Sandburg College men’s basketball team.

Pendleton, a 6-foot-4 forward, was a first-team All-Western Big 6 Conference selection for the Silver Streaks this season after averaging team highs of 12.8 points and nine rebounds per contest on 61 percent (158 of 259) shooting. Against WB6 opponents, Pendleton averaged 10 points and led the league in rebounding at 8.6 per game.

Pendleton, whose father Terrance played for Sandburg in the mid-1990s, joins a Chargers team that finished 18-15 overall and played for the Region IV tournament championship for the second time in the last four seasons.
