South Fulton’s Churchill Signs With Sandburg Women’s XC

Taylor Churchill of VIT High School has signed to run next fall for the Carl Sandburg College women’s cross country team.
Churchill was a three-time All-Prairieland Conference honoree and two-time sectional qualifier as a member of the South Fulton co-op. Her personal-best time of 19 minutes, 43 seconds is a South Fulton record.
Churchill also finished third in the Class 1A girls basketball 3-point contest earlier this year and was a 1A state track and field qualifier in the pole vault last spring. In the classroom, Churchill has been on the high honor roll all four years and is a member of the National Honor Society, including a stint as president.
She joins a Chargers program that had three runners qualify for the NJCAA Division I national meet this past season under head coach Rodney Blue.
