Sandburg, Galesburg Transit Partner to Offer Free Rides to Sandburg Students

GALESBURG — Carl Sandburg College and Galesburg Transit have partnered in a pilot program to allow Sandburg students to ride the bus for free by showing their Sandburg student ID. Free ridership will be available starting August 1,Students interested in using this program must be currently enrolled at Sandburg in credit classes for the upcoming 2017-2018 academic year. This includes all full-time, part-time, online and dual credit students enrolled in credit classes for fall 2017, spring 2018, or summer 2018 at Sandburg. Current Sandburg employees may also ride the bus for free by showing their employee Sandburg ID.
All Sandburg students must possess a current Sandburg Student ID for the 2017-2018 year. A new Sandburg ID can be reissued by visiting the Public Safety Office at the Main Campus and presenting a class schedule for the current semester. If a student rider does not possess the correct student ID they will be charged for their bus ride.
Free ridership is limited only to Galesburg Transit and the current bus routes. All Galesburg Transit buses are equipped
