Chargers Fall to Bobcats Despite Lowe’s Double-Double

MILWAUKEE

Madison Lowe (Dunlap, Ill./Dunlap) picked up her first double-double of the season, but the Carl Sandburg College women’s basketball team lost 83-55 at Bryant & Stratton on Saturday.

Lowe hit five 3-pointers while finishing with 17 points and a career-high 14 rebounds, including five on the offensive glass, for the second double-double of her career. The sophomore finished 6 of 17 from the floor and 5 of 12 from 3-point range before fouling out.

Sophomore guard Alivia Cummings (Peoria, Ill./Limestone) added nine points for the Chargers (1-4). Sophomore forward Willow Porter (Wyoming, Ill./Stark County) had nine rebounds, three steals and three blocks for Sandburg.

Ashley Quezaire’s 17 points off the bench led the Bobcats.

The Chargers will return home to host Southeastern (Iowa) at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
